KPMSOL STUDENTS REACH OUT TO KERALA FLOOD VICTIMS

Overwhelmed by the response to this initiative, one of the students, Prabhanshu Chatturvedi (TYBBA LL.B. Hons.) says, "We consider this step not only an initiative by 'Anhad' but by the entire staff and the students, who have tried their best to provide as much as they can and we can't be thankful enough for this. It is with a heavy heart that we tell that the death toll has risen to about 400 people and perhaps a million lives are affected by the flood, also the level to which the wildlife has been disturbed is immensely painful. People and organizations from all around the world are contributing and praying for the state of Kerala.”

Though the materials amount to a small contribution compared to the massive donations the state needs to rehabilitate and rebuild their lives, KPMSoL students are leaving no stone unturned to try their best, even if it reaches a few affected areas.

The noble initiative undertaken by the law students brings to the fore the human resilience in the face of adverse situations, however, the relief team members are not oblivious to the reasons for the disaster, as one member says, "We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone, and on this positive note we pray that the kind of disaster that the population is going through gets normalized as soon as possible and Kerala sees a better tomorrow after this calamity. It is a lesson for the humanity that the ways in which we are proceeding is alarming and we need to find alternatives to save our surrounding and nature, because all these phenomenon’s are linked to humans disturbing and intervening with the natural processes. Let us take this as a lesson so that we are ready for whatever is coming ahead.”
