An M.A. in Economics from the University of Mumbai and Ph.D. from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA,
he is now Sr. Adjunct Professor of Economics at NMIMS. His interests are research in economics and history and documentary filmmaking.
His research papers have been published in international journals like the Business History, Environment & History, Journal of International Development
and Journal of Human Development & Capabilities.
His documentary films have been screened at several international film festivals and in 2007
he was awarded the U.K. Environmental Film Fellowship for a film on climate change.
