SVKM's NMIMS has a dedicated Career guidance and placement cell wherein Placement executives who have regular interface with the legal fraternity are on board. We at Kirit P. Paralegal Roles:
A paralegal, also known as a legal assistant, or paralegal specialist is a professional who performs tasks that require knowledge of legal concepts but not the full expertise of a lawyer with a license to practice law. A paralegal assists attorney in their legal work.
- Summer Internship: Summer internships are usually done during the summer months (May-July) in which students can gain valuable experience in any legal field of their choosing, this internship can help them to level up their Resumes, Learning experience and career prospects.
- Winter Internship: These usually take place when students have time off between semesters winter months (Dec-Jan). This networking will definitely help them to understand and build more authority over the subjects they have studied so far.
- Long Term Internship: A long-term internship is one that lasts three months or more and provides more practical experience than a short-term internship. Long term internships allow more opportunities to learn more skills, and allow you to hone in on the ones that either appeal to you the most, or that will benefit your professional life the most.
- Assessment Internship: Assessment internships gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, as during this tenure the student would have reached its final year the employer generally takes students on such internship so that they can judge whether the job profile shall suit the student or not depending on such sort of internship PPO’s are generally offered.
- Traineeship: Traineeships are used by companies to give talented starters the opportunity to develop quickly within the company to become a top manager or specialist upon their work profile. A traineeship is on the job training with an employer, while you study and get paid, with a focus on hands-on practical learning over academic theory.
