OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT:

Introduction of DebSoc x Fitoor to the younger batches of NMIMS KPMSOL
Conduct an educational event including a debate and quiz to help foster a healthy, celebratory environment for Independence Day.
Have fun cultural events with Independence Day themes.

EVENT FLOW:

11:00 a.m. — Opening with National Anthem
12:00 noon-4:00p.m.—Stalls (Tattoo, Face Painting, 1game stall and 1 DebSoc Stall)
1:50 p.m.-2:20p.m. –1 Debate event and 1 music event
2:40 p.m. onwards –Independence Day Themed Quiz

DETAILS:

DebSoc and Fitoor have collaborated to celebrate Independence Day and kickstart the events for the new academic year on an auspicious note. Other committees such as CRC and FWS also joined us in this celebration. Each committee set up 1 stall. DebSoc set up a stall on the 6^th floor where it allowed students to come and give their opinions for and against the topic of "Whether the new generation is more patriotic and the other?” Fitoor set up a face paint and tattoo stall. DebSoc x Fitoor also planned a music and mock debate event in the 1:50p.m. to 2:20p.m. lunch break. The mock debate was on the topic; "THS a constitutional mandate for all citizens of India to wear tricolour themed clothing for the Independence Day.” DebSoc also went from class to class for the 1^st and 2^nd year batch and held a quiz of 5-7 questions and distributed chocolates as prizes for the winner. The questions of the quiz were related to Indian history and India’s struggle for independence.
