The Sports Committee of Kirit P. Mehta School of Law organized its 3rdedition of National Sporting Fest, Parakram 3.0 on the 18thand 19thof January, 2020.
This year we introduced our flagship event Kabaddi along with Football in Girls category and Carrom. With football, Cricket, Basketball (boys and girls), Chess, Table Tennis (boys and girls), Badminton (singles and doubles) – we simultaneously organized 8 sports with over 10 categories.
Venue
An event with such diversity needed a spacious venue with prime facilities, which was catered by our Venue Partner – All India Balkan-ji Bari (Santacruz West). Indoor sports i.e. Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom were conducted on the 9thFloor, in KPM SOL classrooms and Mithibai Gymkhana. All fixtures and event scheduled were managed by the students, who extremely efficiently organized the event without any delay or disturbance.
Participation
In only 2 years, Parakram has made a very strong reputation with respect to its professionalism, impartiality and the hospitality of the Organizing Members. Due to this reason, we have continued to retain participation, with participants always looking forward to the next edition.
This year, we received greater participation owing to the introduction for 3 new categories. Participation included colleges from NMIMS sister colleges – ASMSOC, SAMSOE, SD SOS, Centre for Excellence, SBM, School of Design, among others. Mithibai, DJ Sanghvi, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Thakur College, KC Law College and IISM sent in their strongest teams. Mixed Teams from Bhopal participated in Basketball (boys) and tactfully reached Semi-finals of the same.
Amity Universitytook theBEST Contingent Trophyhome after participating and advancing in all the sports.
The level of participation was commended by all.

Members of Parakram Sponsorship Team finalized some of the most impressive deals by gettingAmbuja Cementon board as our title sponsor. Parakram 3.0 was associated withColors Infinity, one of India’s most popular media channels. We had our Kabaddi Event sponsored by Nitin Max World Sports Club. Food Partners included Woodz Pizza and EL. Parakram 3.0 was covered by our youth partner, Grapevine, a platform for Marketing among college events.
Organizing Committee
Parakram 3.0 comprised of 120 students across all batches. Teams were made at the start of the academic year and every phase of the event was systematically planned in correspondence with our Faculty conveners.
The success of the Parakram 3.0 is solely credited to the hardworking student members of this event. We thank our Dean, Dr. Alok Misra for supporting us at every step of this journey.
