The Monsoon edition of SOLympics took place on September 15, 2018.
This was the second intra collegiate event that was organised by Sports Squad (2018-2019) and first sports event of the academic year.
The event included 5 sports, each of them as intense as the other.
Students participated in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Relay and Tug of War.
Each sport saw spectacular moments from almost scoring a field goal but in your own basket to winning a game with a comfortable margin, from almost tearing the Tug of War rope to getting dragged along with ten people, from wicket maidan overs to scoring 30 runs in a single over, from running at the speed of light to depositing the football into the top corner of the goal as if it belonged there.
This edition of SOLympics was extra special because we were graced not only by the presence of our teachers but also got to witness them play their beloved sport and compete with the students as well.
The event concluded on a bittersweet note since every person present there wanted to play till dawn.
SOLympics aims at not only promoting sports but also inculcating the spirit of the game into the students because there is nothing greater than the spirit of a sports person. We hope to organise several events of the same nature and receive the same level of support. Until then, we hope everyone keeps playing, lives happy and healthy.
