TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRTION

Date: 9TH SEPTEMBER, 2019.

The Cultural Committee also known as Fitoor of Kirit P. Mehta, School of Law organized the Teachers’ Day Celebration on the 9th of September, 2019 at Juhu Jagruti Hall as a tribute to the Dean, Faculty, and Staff of the college. The event marked the Cultural Committee’s first event for the academic year 2019-2020. The dress code for the teachers was ‘Western’ while for the students; each batch was assigned a colour for the day. Almost everyone enthusiastically followed the dress code.

The event started with a short speech given by the head of the Cultural Committee welcoming the Dean, Professors, Staff, and students who had come to witness the celebration. This was followed by some fabulous performances by the students given by students from across batches showing gratitude to the teachers. The performances were varied in nature which included one rap performance, two group dances, one solo dance performance, two solo singing performances, one duet singing performance, one band performance, and one play. A game of Fish Bowl was also played. During this game, anonymously written chits by the students for the teachers were read out aloud. To ensure that the professors also participated in the fun, they were made to dance on different songs. All the professors sportingly took part in all the activities that were arranged for them.

The event ended with a vote of thanks by the Vice-President of the Student Council in which she thanked the Dean, the staff and professors for their constant love and support without which the event would not have been possible. The Cultural Committee was also lauded for putting up a great event. The event was enjoyed by all the performers as well as by the audience who cheered for everyone throughout.
